Dear Friends

Dear friends

Welcome in the Infopoverty Community!

Appreciating your previous participation and support to the Infopoverty World Conference, yearly held at the UN Headquarters in New York, I would like to congratulate for your strong commitment and support in fighting poverty, following our mission of implementing the new digital devices to eradicate worldwide poverty, hunger and illnesses, on which we are interested to have your feedback and update on the latest best practices and initiatives.

This year has been very important, concluding the path of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and opening the way to the UN Agenda 2030 for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In that sense, we are proud to announce the publication of the e-book (available also as print copy)

“Infopoverty World Conference

15 years: 2001 – 2015

The digital revolution in the words of the lead players”

Sharing our best wishes for the incoming new year, we are pleased to announce the next challenge launched by the Infopoverty World Conference “ICTs as the tools for everyone to achieve dignity and freedom”, which will be held at the UN HQ on the 14-15th April 2016, a fundamental occasion to share our best practices, projects, ideas and proposals for the achievement of the UN Agenda 2030 through the powerful ICT instruments.

Occam is now opening new channels of discussion on its social networks, such as Facebook (OCCAM: UN-Affiliated Digital Communication Observatory), Twitter (@occam_milano) and Instagram (….), to which we warmly invite you all to actively participate.

Best wishes

Pierpaolo Saporito

The President of OCCAM/Infopoverty Programme
